Come and join us in the garden kitchen area (covered ready for all weathers) on Thursday 21st September with poetry & music to knock your Devon socks off! We have a huddle of poets including the recently stolen from Edinburgh Fringe 2017 Mr. Robert Garnham, a comedy spoken word artist. His whimsy driven poems are off-beat, high energy and hilariously deadpan, looking at everything from badgers who want to be in soap operas to loading a dishwasher. He’s a multiple slam champion and twice long-listed as Spoken Word Artist of the Year. Jackie Juno, stolen from The Glastonbury Festival 2017 after winning The Glastonbury Slam!!! Jackie is also Grand Bard of Exeter. She will have you weeping in the aisles with laughter. Rob Barratt nicked from Cornwall is a Dudley-born and Cornwall-based comic poet, humourist and singer. His brain-tickling, word-mangling performance combines clever word play, verse and song with satire, parody and audience participation. Music will be interwoven with poetry with the sensational voice of Jasmine Rodgers, a London based singer songwriter. Jasmine has a voice that just captures your soul. Profound, emotional, communal. There will be troubadours a plenty with Rachael Clyne riding in from Glastonbury, Marc Woodward on poetry and mandolin, Hannah Linden cycling from Staverton Bridge! Totnes MusOs Bev Knowlden, Peter Shearn and Martin Seager, locally sourced noise….. Oh and I’m your host for the night so if you fancy a pizza, some fun, a night out….glass of vino, we’re you’re ticket. Free entry under the stars of Dartington.
